Job Description
Position Summary:
The Game Developer reports to the Technical Development Manager and will participate in a team responsible for Game Development. This position will be responsible for bringing unique game concepts to life by combining artwork, mathematics, and messaging into fully developed game software that meets regulatory requirements for various markets. We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in C# programming and related professional experience—ideally with a background or interest in game development.
What You’ll Do:
As a Game Developer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing fully functional game software by integrating artwork, mathematical models, and messaging components, ensuring regulatory compliance across target markets.
- Creating math simulations using our in-house tools to validate and support game logic.
- Preparing comprehensive submission documentation for testing agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues identified during the testing and certification process.
- Conducting peer reviews of builds developed by fellow team members to ensure quality and consistency.
- Contributing to the creation of new game ideas and supporting concept development.
- Running game simulations to validate gameplay behavior and ensure alignment with designed math models.
Education and Experience:
- 1-3 years of hands-on C# programming experience, with a strong grasp of:
- SOLID principles
- Generics, Interfaces, Sealed/Partial Classes
- Events and Delegates
- Attributes and Reflection
- Common Design Patterns (e.g., Singleton, Factory, Adapter)
- Experience with Unity or other game engines is highly desirable.
- Recent graduates from a diploma or tertiary program in Computer Programming or a related field are also welcome to apply.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Background in or interest in math-heavy logic or gaming applications (slots, card games, table games, board games, etc.) is an advantage.
Skills and Requirements:
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, essential for building accurate and engaging game logic.
- Proficiency in PC tools including MS Office, Photoshop, and comparison tools like Beyond Compare.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A creative mindset and passion for innovation in game development.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
