Job Description

We are looking for a Fullstack Developer who thrives in fast-moving environments where experimentation, feedback, and iteration are core to product development. You’ll work on a platform handling large-scale, real-time user interactions, and contribute across the stack—from high-performance APIs in Node.js to sophisticated front-end components in React. If you’ve built interactive dashboards, architected modular backend services, or optimized load-heavy UIs, we want to talk to you.

You won’t be handed vague Jira tickets or told to “just wire this up.” You’ll participate in technical decision-making, help define API contracts, and challenge architectural assumptions. Our engineering team is small and collaborative, so your code will matter—and so will your voice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.
  • Build intuitive, performant UIs using React, TypeScript, and modern state management patterns (e.g., Zustand or Redux Toolkit).
  • Own end-to-end feature development: schema design, API logic, UI rendering, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with product designers and other engineers to translate product specs into working software.
  • Maintain clear API documentation and contribute to a shared library of reusable components.
  • Participate in code reviews with a focus on readability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps when needed (e.g., Docker, GitHub Actions, basic infra automation).

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript in a production environment.
  • Proficiency with both React (hooks, functional components, SSR/CSR) and Node.js (including async patterns, middleware, and testing).
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred); familiarity with query optimization and schema design.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and consume RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints.
  • Strong understanding of client-server architecture, state synchronization, and application-level caching.
  • Comfortable with Git-based workflows, writing unit/integration tests, and debugging complex issues across the stack.
  • Familiarity with frontend performance tools (Lighthouse, React Profiler) and backend monitoring (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with WebSockets, background jobs (e.g., BullMQ), and task queues.
  • Knowledge of authentication patterns (JWT, OAuth2) and security best practices.
  • Prior experience working with monorepos or microservices.
  • Exposure to tools like Vite, SWC, or Turborepo is a plus.
  • Passion for building developer-friendly APIs and maintaining design consistency across the product.
