Job Description

Job Overview

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in automating cloud infrastructure, securing CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing deployment strategies across microservices-based environments. You will work closely with backend developers, SREs, and security engineers to maintain a resilient and scalable platform running on AWS with Kubernetes at its core.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement IaC using Terraform for provisioning multi-account AWS infrastructure
  • Manage and optimize EKS clusters, including custom admission controllers, network policies, and node autoscaling
  • Build and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines supporting build, test, and deploy stages for over 40 containerized services
  • Integrate security scanning tools (e.g., Trivy, Snyk) into CI/CD pipelines and enforce policy-as-code
  • Automate secrets management via HashiCorp Vault and AWS Secrets Manager with fine-grained IAM policies
  • Develop Helm charts and Kustomize overlays to standardize service deployment configurations
  • Create self-service deployment workflows for engineering teams using Backstage or internal tooling
  • Monitor infrastructure using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki, and respond to production incidents with root cause analysis
  • Conduct regular infrastructure cost reviews and implement resource optimizations without compromising reliability

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer in cloud-native environments (AWS preferred)
  • Strong proficiency with Terraform and Helm (you should be able to write modules and templates without generators)
  • Production experience managing Kubernetes clusters (ideally EKS), including debugging network and runtime issues
  • Solid experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, CircleCI), and container registries like ECR
  • Proven ability to implement and maintain observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Loki or ELK)
  • Proficient in scripting (Bash and Python or Go) for automation and tooling
  • Deep understanding of IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege practices across multiple AWS services
  • Experience integrating security tooling into build pipelines and enforcing infrastructure compliance standards
