Job Description

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who’s more interested in automating themselves out of a job than endlessly patching the same issue. You’ll join a product-focused engineering team where infrastructure decisions directly affect customer experience and platform stability. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on tearing down monoliths, setting up scalable CI/CD pipelines from scratch, and bringing observability into environments that currently operate on hope and log files.

You won’t be stuck managing tickets from developers—you’ll be embedded in engineering sprints, influencing how we ship features and keep them running in production. Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions are part of your toolbox, but so is knowing when not to use them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) pipelines using Terraform for multi-region deployments in AWS
  • Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines for microservices architecture using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
  • Harden Kubernetes-based environments with fine-grained RBAC, network policies, and automated rollout strategies
  • Implement and maintain centralized observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry)
  • Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in distributed systems and contribute fixes at the infra or code level
  • Partner with development teams to design failover strategies, blue-green deployments, and canary releases
  • Enforce DevSecOps practices by integrating security checks (e.g., Snyk, Trivy) into the pipeline
  • Maintain minimal on-call rotation by designing systems that are self-healing and clearly alert only when necessary

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
  • Expert-level knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, VPC, ECS/EKS, IAM, S3, RDS)
  • Proficient in Terraform and Helm with experience managing multiple isolated environments
  • Hands-on experience running containerized workloads in Kubernetes (not just deploying Helm charts)
  • Comfortable writing tooling in Python or Go to fill automation gaps
  • Strong understanding of Linux internals, systemd, and network diagnostics (iptables, tcpdump)
  • Proven track record of building and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio or Linkerd)
  • Familiarity with cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure
  • Exposure to GitOps workflows using tools like Flux or ArgoCD
  • Previous experience in regulated environments (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA)
