Job Description

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer who thrives at the intersection of development and operations, with a knack for building resilient, automated infrastructure that scales effortlessly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving deep into Kubernetes internals, crafting battle-tested CI/CD pipelines, and driving reliability through observability and chaos engineering practices. You’ll work closely with development, security, and QA teams to transform manual processes into automated workflows that accelerate delivery without compromising stability or security.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in building and maintaining scalable CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, specifically for microservices deployed in Kubernetes clusters.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) frameworks such as Terraform or Pulumi, managing multi-cloud environments with a focus on cost optimization and security compliance.
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals, custom resource definitions (CRDs), Helm charts, and troubleshooting node-level issues beyond basic orchestration.
  • Advanced scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go to automate complex workflows, including integrations with monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Experience building and maintaining observability tooling — logging, tracing, and metrics — using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Managing secrets and sensitive data with tools like HashiCorp Vault or AWS KMS, enforcing zero-trust principles across deployment lifecycles.
  • Proven ability to improve system reliability via chaos engineering or fault injection tools, anticipating failures in distributed systems.
  • Strong collaboration skills demonstrated by building secure, automated release workflows alongside development, QA, and security teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd), focusing on application availability and security in cloud-native environments.
  • Experience designing and implementing disaster recovery and backup strategies for stateful applications on cloud platforms.
  • Passionate about continuous learning and contributing to the DevOps community through open source or professional networks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent hands-on experience considered.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles supporting complex, cloud-native applications.
  • Demonstrable experience with Kubernetes production clusters and multi-cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices within CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code and automation scripts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and proactive mindset.
  • Effective communicator comfortable working in cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Certifications like Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate are a plus.
