Development Engineer

Your new role
Reporting to the Team Leader, your day to day responsibilities will be:
- Analyse Stormwater Management Plans, covering aspects such as on-site stormwater detention, stormwater quality treatment infrastructure, Legal Point of Discharge, Point of Connection, and traffic management and infrastructure reports.
- Craft comprehensive responses to planning referrals, including the evaluation and formulation of planning permit conditions.
- Evaluate the engineering components of planning permit applications, ensuring compliance with the Planning Scheme, Subdivision Act, and pertinent engineering guidelines and standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly responding to, following up on, reporting, and resolving customer requests received by the department.
What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for a dynamic and qualified civil engineer who excels in both written and verbal communication. You’ll bring your top-notch negotiation and conflict resolution skills to the table. Ideally, you have hands-on experience and expertise in drainage design, traffic management, and road safety structures. A strong grasp of planning principles and requirements is essential for this role.
