About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated analytics leader to join the Business Intelligence and Analytics team. In this role, you will lead the development and continuous improvement of our analytics capabilities, enabling the agency to effectively leverage data for strategic insights and impactful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead innovation and continuous improvement across analytics and reporting workstreams, including the design and maintenance of data pipelines, visualisations and ad hoc analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Business Intelligence and Analytics to develop and implement data strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and technical leadership within the analytics team and across the agency.
  • Promote the adoption and effective use of analytical tools and insights across the organisation.
  • Prepare reports and communicate findings to inform the Executive and Board on data platform practices and risk mitigation strategies.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in data analytics.
  • Strong ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure Analytics Stack and Databricks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on gathering business requirements and delivering effective solutions.
  • (Desired) Experience in managing and leading a team.
