Data Analyst
Job Description
As a Cadet Data Analyst, you’ll gain hands-on experience while completing your academic studies. You’ll work alongside skilled professionals and contribute to real-world projects involving data preparation, reporting, dashboard development, and system improvements. The primary focus of this role is to:
- Assist with data collection, cleaning and validation from various sources.
- Conduct data quality audits to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with Council standards.
- Support the development of dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns.
- Document data processes and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver data-driven insights.
- Contribute to work area planning and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and reviews.

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- In your second-to-last or final year of a relevant undergraduate degree (e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics).
- Foundational knowledge of data analysis and statistical concepts.
- Exposure to programming languages such as Python or C#.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with SQL, Power BI or Tableau.
