Cloud Engineer

Job Description

This role will work with cross-functional teams to support cloud-based applications and services, automate deployments, and ensure system reliability and performance. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, strong scripting skills, and a solid understanding of DevOps practices and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure – 30%
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures using services from AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Automate Infrastructure and Deployments (IaC) – 25%
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate environment setup.
• Monitor, Troubleshoot, and Optimize Systems – 20%
• Use monitoring tools to track system health, resolve performance issues, and continuously optimize cloud resources for cost and efficiency.
• Ensure Security and Compliance – 15%
• Apply cloud security best practices, manage IAM policies, and ensure systems comply with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Support CI/CD and DevOps Practices – 10%
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, integrating automation to streamline code deployments and testing workflows.

Nice to have skills:

• Cloud Platform Expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP) – 3+ years
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing services on at least one major cloud platform.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) – 2+ years
• Proven ability to automate infrastructure provisioning and management using IaC tools.
• Networking & Security in the Cloud – 3+ years
• Solid knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, encryption, and compliance best practices.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting Tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, etc.) – 2+ years

• Scripting & Automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell) – 3+ years
• Strong scripting skills for automating deployment, monitoring, and administrative tasks.
• CI/CD & DevOps Tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) – 2+ years

Required skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of Cloud Engineering experience
