Automation Test Lead

Your new role

As an Automation Test Lead, you will operate at a programme level, reporting to the Programme Test Manager while remaining hands-on in delivery.

You will:

• Lead and execute functional and automation testing across multiple workstreams
• Drive test automation uplift, including building and enhancing frameworks using Playwright
• Contribute to test strategy, planning, and reporting
• Play a key role in ensuring quality across cloud migration initiatives
• Engage with stakeholders across business and technology to support delivery outcomes
• Support the exploration and adoption of AI-driven testing capabilities

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Test Lead within large-scale transformation programmes
• Strong, hands-on expertise in automation testing, including Playwright
• Experience building and scaling automation frameworks
• Solid background in functional, system, and integration testing
• Experience working on cloud transformation programmes
• Insurance industry experience is essential, with Claims experience highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Interest in or exposure to AI technologies within testing or transformation programmes.
• Ability to contribute at a strategic level while remaining hands-on
