About the role
We’re on the lookout for a driven Art Director who’s ready to leave their mark in an industry that’s moving fast. As our Art Director, you’ll be a creative force – working closely with our Creative Director to dream up and deliver ideas that truly stand out. Your mission is to strengthen our high-end design capabilities through your exceptional craft.
What you’ll be doing

- Partner with the Creative Director, marketing team, and fellow creatives to develop advertising and campaigns that are strategically sharp and creatively bold.
- Take ideas from concept to execution—crafting campaigns that are visually striking, insight-driven, and aligned with Envato’s brand and values.
- Draw on your agency experience and campaign know-how to ensure all creative is not just on brand, but breakthrough—cutting through category norms and resonating in broader marketing culture.
- Bring a passion for technology, AI, and creative innovation—exploring how new tools and platforms can unlock fresh storytelling and design possibilities.
- Design and direct visual assets across digital, social, video, and product, always ensuring polished, platform-aware execution.
- Maintain a high bar for visual quality, consistency, and brand storytelling across every touchpoint.
- Translate strategy and insight into big ideas that push the brand forward and deepen our connection with current and future customers.
- Support the evolution of Envato’s visual identity—injecting fresh thinking while protecting brand integrity and cohesion.
- Collaborate with teams across marketing, design, product, and engineering to deliver work that meets both brand and business objectives.
- Help champion a culture of creative excellence, openness, and collaboration—where strong ideas are valued and craft is respected.
- Stay curious and on the pulse of design trends, emerging platforms, and new creative tech to keep our work fresh, relevant, and ahead of the curve.
About you

- You’ve built a solid foundation with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Advertising or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience, ideally a mix of agency and in-house. Your portfolio tells the story: bold ideas, exceptional design craft, and marketing campaigns that captivate and convert.
- You’re a standout visual storyteller with a razor-sharp eye for detail. Recognition has followed you, but it’s your ambition that truly stands out—you aim to create world-class work that makes people stop and take notice.
- You’re already riding the AI wave, with strong prompting and generation skills that blend human insight with emerging tech. Your toolkit spans the industry standards—Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and beyond.
- Deadlines don’t rattle you. Your excellent time management means you consistently deliver top-tier work, even under pressure. You’re curious, fearless, and thrive on experimenting with new approaches and creative risks.
- You communicate your ideas with clarity and conviction, whether you’re presenting to stakeholders or collaborating with your team. You’re a proactive self-starter who doesn’t just seize opportunities—you create them.
- Above all, you’re driven by a love for innovation and are committed to excellence in creative thinking, art direction, and design.
