Role Overview:
We are seeking a concept-driven, execution-focused Art Director with proven experience leading multi-platform visual campaigns across branding, digital, editorial, packaging, and motion. You will be responsible for setting the visual tone and pushing the boundaries of how our brand communicates, collaborating directly with copywriters, producers, and designers. This is not a hands-off role: we are looking for someone who thrives on crafting distinctive visuals while directing others with clear, intentional feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and direct original visual concepts across product launches, brand campaigns, and seasonal content—ensuring cohesion from digital to physical assets.
- Translate strategic marketing briefs into compelling visual storytelling that advances the brand while differentiating it from competitors.
- Lead art direction for studio and location shoots, including casting, styling, set design, and post-production oversight.
- Supervise and mentor a team of designers, providing clear critiques and helping them grow in both concept and craft.
- Collaborate with motion designers, photographers, and freelance talent to deliver work that feels fresh and specific to our brand voice.
- Present work confidently to stakeholders and justify design decisions with clarity rooted in brand objectives.
- Identify design trends, cultural cues, and references to elevate the originality and impact of all creative.
- Maintain quality control across all deliverables—print, digital, social, retail, and experiential.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in art direction, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates brand campaigns, editorial visuals, and digital executions—ideally in fashion, beauty, or culture-led industries.
- A refined visual sensibility with deep understanding of typography, layout, and composition—not just taste, but intent.
- Experience directing photo and video shoots from pre-production to post, with an eye for casting, framing, and pacing.
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; working knowledge of motion and 3D tools a plus (After Effects, C4D, Blender).
- Ability to build visual systems and style guides that can scale without becoming formulaic.
- Comfortable presenting to C-suite leadership and cross-functional partners, with an ability to translate creative ideas into business impact.
- High attention to detail without losing sight of the broader campaign narrative.
- Strong point of view, paired with a collaborative mindset and openness to feedback.
