Job Description

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and data processing systems, primarily using Python.
  • Solve complex technical problems across different parts of our software stack.
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure software solutions on AWS.
  • Develop and maintain APIs that are consumed by our front-end applications.
  • Contribute to our DevOps practices to improve our build and release pipelines.
  • Work with a modern tech stack, including Python, Postgres, Docker, and AWS.
  • Take ownership of projects from the initial idea through to deployment and maintenance.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a software engineering role with a strong foundation in Python programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work through complex technical challenges independently.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
  • Experience with standard DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Linux, Docker, git, CI/CD).
  • A passion for shipping high-quality, reliable code.
  • You must have the right to work in Australia.
  • Bonus Points: Expertise with web technologies such as React.js, TypeORM, TypeScript, or Node.js is highly regarded.
