Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a talented backend engineer to join our engineering team in developing and maintaining

the backend systems of our dating/social platform. In this role, you will work closely with cross functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and designers, to architect and implement robust and efficient solutions that power our platform’s functionality.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain the backend infrastructure and APIs that power our dating/social

platform, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

2. Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and designers to understand

requirements and translate them into scalable backend solutions.

3. Implement and optimize data models, database schemas, and queries to support the platform’s

functionality and performance requirements.

4. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices and industry standards.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate frontend components with backend

systems, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.

6. Implement and maintain robust authentication, authorization, and data privacy measures to

protect user information.

7. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of backend systems to ensure high-quality and bug free

code.

8. Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and areas for

optimization.

9. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to backend

development, and propose and implement improvements to enhance our platform’s capabilities.

10. Collaborate with team members to foster a culture of code review, knowledge sharing, and

continuous learning.

Ideal Profile

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, So􀅌ware Engineering, or a related field.

2. Proven work experience as a backend engineer or a similar role, with a track record of

developing and maintaining scalable and secure backend systems.

3. Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language, such as Python, Java, or

Node.js, and experience with backend frameworks.

4. Experience working with relational databases and knowledge of SQL, as well as familiarity with

database optimization techniques.

5. Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience in designing and building

APIs for complex applications.

6. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and experience with

deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.

7. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and experience with collaborative development

workflows.

8. Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing authentication and

authorization mechanisms.

9. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.

10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team

environment.
